Someone requested a post of all of the current Strong Female Characters, so here you go.
A David Hockney-style project I did for an art class recently. It’s called “Weep.” I’m actually really nervous to post this, because it’s basically the most intricate selfie I’ve ever put up.

For the curious! It always starts out with a pencil sketch. Everything was painted with gouache; I also used a little bit of colored pencil to make the ridges in the lips, and to outline and accentuate the teeth here and there…

This is the time for writing a short story, because fuck Thursday, right?
It’s about Charles and Yvonne, two students who share one night of sensual ecstasy before Yvonne returns to France for the summer. They write each other, until Yvonne unexpectedly returns and starts harassing the female doctor that Charles is interning with. This eventually causes him to lose the position, and to break off communication with Yvonne. When they both return to school in the fall, Yvonne asks Charles why he stopped writing her. She tells him that her cousin, who could almost be her twin, was the one harassing the doctor, not her. Disbelieving her, Charles asks to see the cousin, who is still in town. When they find her, the cousin (Odette) stabs them both with dirty needles, injecting a slow-acting poison. She will give them the antidote if they can complete various tasks. In the end, she gives them one vial of antidote, and they must choose who to save.
Completely weirdly inspired, but I’m excited for the project. I’m going to bed now. :)
